Brassica
I had a tough time keeping up with everyone today. Pitchforks and shovels seem so foreign to me, but I hope it won't remain that way for much longer. The day's largest project centered on covering the new plot we've been tilling for the past two days with rows of plastic. The purpose for this is to minimize weed growth until it's time to transplant the brassicas (kale, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower) from the greenhouse to the beds. There were 12 rows in total, and we kept the plastic in place by covering the edges with soil. If I had a bit more muscle to my frame, it would have made shovel-fulls of difference today. The fact that I may have eaten too much egg salad for lunch sealed my demise.
