The pigs finally got a chance to enjoy the feeder I had assembled yesterday morning. Everyone at the farm is eating very well -- myself and the chickens included.
After continuing to spread the manure pile we had been working on the day before, we added mineral amendments to the soil in the form of greensand, phosphate and lime. Daniel then brought out Berta, the rotary plow, to till the plot as Courtney and I raked thick patches of leaves away from its path.
I picked some kale on my way back to the house to sauté with onions and garlic. Leftover pasta from last night made lunch easier to prepare.
