Ticks

A tick had strapped itself on to my handkerchief as I prepared to blow my nose. Just yesterday, Daniel pulled one off the cat behind her ear. Courtney later told me about a tendency for ticks to attach themselves to warm objects when we're out in the field. She described contracting Lyme disease beyond the bulls-eye rash as feeling as though you were about to die.
