Warming Up

While the pigs enjoyed wallowing in the mud, the rising temperature quickly sapped my ability to work in the afternoon sun. Having worn multiple layers of clothing for the past two weeks, I almost forgot how unbearable the heat could be. The change of weather marked the arrival of insects and odd critters into my bedroom. In response, I decided to collect the flies, stinkbugs and spiders and fed them as a snack to the chickens.
