The flock of Katahdin sheep arrived at the farm today. A hair sheep breed developed in Maine, the Katahdin shed their winter coat and are well-regarded for their moderate flocking instinct, hair coat, high fertility and meat-type conformation. They are ideal for pasture lambing and grass/forage-based management systems.
In other words, they're low-maintenance, more useful than the average lawnmower and taste amazing.
